Our Team

Mike is a qualified Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in both the commercial sector and in public practice as a chartered accountant.

Mike works closely with a diverse range of business clients across a number of industry sectors including construction, property, retail, import and distribution, hospitality, mechanical and engineering, IT and consultancy services to name a few.

Mike provides pragmatic advice on commercial and compliance matters whether it be for small start-up ventures, or large established enterprises. Mike is committed to providing solutions that will help clients achieve their goals and can assist with all matters relating to accountancy, taxation, management reporting requirements, budgeting, cashflow planning, business structuring, valuations, and family trusts.

Mike lives in West Auckland, and is married with three boys who keep him busy in his spare time.

Hayden is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds B.Com majoring in accountancy from the University of Otago.

Hayden’s years of accountancy experience have seen him work in private practise and in senior commercial Finance roles in;  Advertising, E Commerce, FMCG and Publishing, here in NZ and the U.K.

Hayden  provides practical consultancy advice relating to annual compliance work, tax planning, management reporting, forecast projections and cash flow management.

Hayden promotes the use of accounting software to ease compliance for clients, namely Xero.

Hayden’s spare time is mostly taken up by his family, Hayden is married with four children, two of which are twins.

Lynne’s BCom is from Auckland University and she has been Chartered for more than 30 years. Lynne’s attention to detail is fastidious and she provides expert service across a wide range of accounting principles. 

Away from work, Lynne has a wide range of interests and is currently eyeing up overseas travel and new experiences.

Tracy has been with the firm for over 25 years. Quite the achievement! 

Qualified by experience, she is a wizz with Xero and helping our clients; from GST preparation right through to annual compliance and taxation processing, Tracy understands it all. 

Married with two adult children, that keep Tracy busy outside of work.

Angela has been an accountant for 25 years, and a Chartered Accountant since 2006.

She joined Coutts and Syers in June 2020 after working 23 years for another local accounting firm in New Lynn.

She is Born and raised in West Auckland. Angela is a busy mum with two young kids, who are growing up fast.

Kristie is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds B.Com majoring in accountancy from the University of Auckland. She enjoys a challenge and strives to continue developing her accounting knowledge and experience.

Outside of work, Kristie enjoys bush walking with her husband and spending time in the company of her friends and family.

Abbey has a BBS in Accountancy and a Graduate Diploma in Finance from Massey University and she has worked as an accountant for more than 20 years.

She has worked with both Xero & MYOB for many years and is always happy to assist clients with getting the most out of their accounting software.

Outside of work, Abbey is a basketball, comedy and music fan and can often be found at a game or a live show. 

Nicole joined the firm fresh from High School and has been our receptionist for several years. You may know her as the friendly face at reception, or the voice on the other end of the phone when you call in. 

Nicole has gained many skills over her time with us, and we are moving her off reception into a full-time junior accounting role.

We look forward to her taking on this new challenge and are so happy that we are promoting her, so she can learn new skills and  grow with the firm in the future.

Bonnie is the first person you’ll see when you visit us. She’s friendly, organized, and always happy to help. She’s just out of school and wants to become an accountant one day. For now, she’s learning all she can and doing a great job keeping our front desk running smoothly.
